Video: Economic Growth in Southeast Asia

On January 14, 2013, Wharton and the Central Bank of Malaysia hosted a roundtable event entitled “Economic Growth Opportunities in Southeast Asia.” Harbir Singh, Vice Dean of Global Initiatives, moderated the panel, which featured Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz, G’74, GR’78, Governor of the Bank Negara Malaysia; Chanthol Sun, WAM’97, Senior Minister and Vice Chairman, Council for the Development of Cambodia; Azman Mokhtar, Managing Director, Khazanah Nasional, Malaysia; Kongkiat Opaswongkarn, WG’80, CEO at Asia Plus Securities; and Abdul Wahid Omar, President & CEO and Executive Director of Maybank.  The event, part of innovative Wharton’s Lifelong Learning initiative, was attended by members of Wharton’s Executive Board for Asia, leaders of the Malaysian economy, and members of the media.
